    After 20 Years...

These guys need to find something else to hang their hats on instead of milking their achievements from 20 years ago.

    It sounds great...

I'm still not going to Boston if Apple won't be there.

Nope, since Apple won't be there, there's unlikely to be any announcement there for new computers and such c***.

"These guys need to find something else to hang their hats on instead of milking their achievements from 20 years ago."

Don't be an a******. These guys were revolutionaries for their time, and I would be proud of myself too if I had developed something that created a major impact on the computing systems of today.

I'll give you a parallel. OS X is a completely different operating system, which isn't even close to the original Mac OS. Most of the people that worked on it don't even know how the original mac worked. Would you have preferred if Apple had called Mac OS X something other then a Mac? I mean really, all they are doing is "milking" the name of the original mac. *rolls eyes*

Your comment is unfair in other respects as well. Jeff Rasikin has done tremendous work developing THE, The Human Interface. Something that's desperately needed in modern operating systems. And many others have done just as excellent work. It's not like these guys developed the mac and then crawled into a hole for 20 years.

    Strange Days

    "Boston takes place July 12-15"

    That's Monday thru Thurs.

I'm really looking forward to MacWorld Expo in Boston again but ...Geez, those days make it tough for someone who has to work weekdays.

In the past it started later in the week and finished up on Friday or Saturday. I'm only two hours travel from Boston; however, with those days I will either have to shut down my shop during business hours or do the Expo solo without my partner. Not very good options.
