Over 1500 in line for Apple Store SF opening
Apple today openend its "hometown" Apple Store San Francisco. Over 1500 people were in line as of the opening--more than a dozen of whom camped out overnight. The store opened about fifteen minutes late--reportedly for waiting for the arrival of Apple CEO Steve Jobs who "was stuck in traffic", according to security officials. Ex-San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown performed the official ribbon cutting ceremony. MacNN was on hand, offering free food to those in line. We have posted an Apple Store San Francisco Opening Photo Gallery and MacNN reader Nathan Trebes has posted several short QuickTime videos from line just before the opening Saturday morning.
