    5 is so yesterday.

Camera makers are just RIPE to release 10-15 new 5MP cameras. Bring on the mass-marketed 6's!

    Price

At $1600 this camera is just RIPE to include Firwire connectivity. Is that price a misprint?

    Leica, schmeica

The Leica name only gets you so far... $1,600 for a 5MP point & shoot camera, even if it has the best lens in the world, is completely ludicrous. You could get a Canon Rebel with an extra high-quality lens for that price!

    $1600

The Rebel 300D is a FAR better deal.
Heck I could get a rebel and an emac for that.

    ripe

ripe was started by one dumbass and now others are starting to say it even though they don't have any idea what it means. I don't even know what it means. Its like one person's own inside joke that they moronically decided to annoy the h*** out of everybody with.

    Panasonic and OSX

My Panasonic LC5 (two years old and the cheaper version of the Leica Digilux 1) works perfectly with OSX, iPhoto etc and always has done.

There's no reason at all why this one won't.

DOES work in OSX. I use PanoramaMaker myself, and very good it is too.
