GarageBand receives minor update

GarageBand 1.0.1 released


Apple has posted , a minor update to the music recording software from Apple. The free update "clarifies specific alert dialogs regarding system performance." GarageBand is available as part of iLife '04, which sells for $50 or is available pre-installed on new purchases of any Mac.

    A 20 MB download to update a couple of "system performance" dialogs? My a**, there's more to it than they're admitting.

    My a** they did. The binary executable is only about 10-11 MB, so there goes your idiotic theory dumbass.

    performance hits..

    seems one issue is that the energy saver may be set to reduce processor speed and that causes problems

    i was in the apple store the other night to see how much better it will be when i trade my ibook g3 500 for an ibook 800 g4 when applecare runs out...

    garageband choked on 5 or 6 tracks pretty much like the 500 does on 4 tracks, and it warned me that it needed better performance and suggested that i check the energy saver processor speed.

    of course, not knowing the admin password for the apple store machines, i couldn;t helo it but i told them what they need to do...
