eTuner for Mac OS X
Ebranta today announced it has developed a new digital signal processing (DSP) software technology that enables musicians to receive interactive pitch information while playing an instrument: , a chromatic tuner and musical pitch analysis application, displays the note closest to the pitch being played, and the amount of variance between the detected pitch and the displayed note. It is available for Mac OS X 10.2.1 or later for $35.
eTuner features an innovative software algorithm that outperforms traditional complex mathematical methods for calculating frequencies of audio signals. The developer says that eTuner is especially useful because a musician can view the note on a large computer screen while they are playing and can be especially helpful for scale practice. eTuner requires a 400MHz computer and 256MB of RAM.
