The Sigma Series, a forum on science and technology, is offering a free lecture on ''. The free seminar takes place on February 3, 2004 at 7:30 pm at the Virginia Air and Space Center in downtown Hampton, Virginia. It is sponsored by The NASA Langely Research Center, The Virginia Air and Space Center, and The Daily Press: "System X was conceived in March 2003, designed in July 2003 and by October it had achieved a sustained performance of 10.28 Teraflops. In this talk, we present the motivation for System X, its architecture, and the challenges faced in building, deploying and maintaining a large-scale supercomputer."
