updated 08:55 am EST, Thu January 29, 2004

Strata3D Plus, training

Strata is offering a special bundle of and its training CD PhotoshopCafe Live! for $50, a savings of nearly $250 off the price of each item individually. The training CD shows users how to create surreal 3D effects like beveled metal text, glass text, water reflections, and more in Photoshop. Strata 3Dplus offers 3D tools, such as modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering and animation. PhotoshopCafe Live! is regularly $60, while Strata 3Dplus is $250.

PhotoshopCafe Live! offers tricks to create textures and perform sophisticated image manipulation, including adding lightning bolts, using the history brush and master compositing tricks. The CD runs full 800x600 video at 30 fps on the desktop without the need for any plug-ins.

"Strata 3Dplus is the powerful sibling to Strata 3Dpro. Though not the top line offering from Strata, the 'plus' version offers many of the high-end features users would only expect from an application costing hundreds of dollars - not under $50. Users will find powerful spline modeling, multilayered texturing, photo-real rendering and even time-varying animation included in this easy-to-use application."
