3ivx 4.5.1
updates the decoder that plays back most MPEG-4 variants (including DivX 3,4 and 5, Apple MPEG-4, Philips MPEG-4 and XviD): "The 3ivx decoder produces noticeably higher quality video than other decoders due to its high quality postprocessing filters, and because of its core design and optimization maintains a record-breaking speed." The company says that 3ivx is up to twice as efficient as Apple MPEG-4, producing the same quality video in half the size and up to five times faster at encoding. Pricing starts at $7.
The decoder is $7, while the Plus edition (dual-pass/constant bit-rate encoding) with DiVA is $20. Licensing for Pro version for commercial use is $30 (Decoder) and $100 (Encoder + DiVA).
The DiVA Video Processing application adds high quality scaling, multi-processor support, automatic dual pass, all YUV pipeline (no color conversion), deinterlacing, and rectangular pixel support. The 3ivx encoder produces compact high quality MPEG-4
video and is distributed as a plug-in for QuickTime, allowing users to
encode MPEG-4 video with any QuickTime compatible encoding application.

WMA and DIVX
I have alot of files that uses DIVX for Video and WMA for audio. It wont play back properly on quicktime player because it doesnt have a WMA codec. Is there a way to get it to play on Quicktime Player? The only workaround I have found is to use VLC.
