updated 04:20 pm EST, Thu January 22, 2004

TetrUSS for Panther

NASA Langley Research Center is announcing a new version of its computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software for Mac OS X 10.3 Panther. Version 010804 contains numerous updates and improvements for 10.3, and includes a revised version of GridToolCocoa (GTC), a general purpose CAD, geometry preparation, and grid generation tool.

TetrUSS is a suite of computer programs used for fluid dynamics and
aerodynamics analysis. Originally developed for NASA internal applications,
TetrUSS has evolved into an efficient and versatile CFD tool used by
engineers and scientists throughout the nation. NASA says the software is widely used in other government organizations, the aerospace industry, academia, and
non-aerospace industries such as automotive, bio-medical, and civil
engineering.

TetrUSS is available to U.S. entities, citizens, and permanent residents.

    I don't understand...

I don't understand what this software does nor do I know how to use it. But it's free, so I downloaded it and use it right now.

    ^ wth

How do you use it now if you don't know how to use it or what it does?

Anybody know of any good structural analysis software made for OS X that does Finite Element Analysis? Now...that would kick a**.

You can't just download TetrUSS right away. You have to send in a request for it. Not sure about this time around, but the last time, you had to email a request, then fax them your info, then they send you a link to download the app. If you're not joking, then I doubt you downloaded anything that will be of use since you don't have the program.

This isn't a "game," you moron, this is software for serious professionals and engineers. Stop smoking so much crack and maybe you'll be able to comprehend in the future what's going on.
