Cycling '74 launches Pluggo 3.1, M v2.6 for Mac OS X

features compatibility with OS X Core MIDI, allow it to be used to power the many software synthesizers now available. With M's ability to act as a virtual source of MIDI for other applications, it can be easily used to control other software such as Ableton Live or software synths such as Reason. M can also be controlled by other sequencers via its Input Control System that maps MIDI notes to performance gestures such as muting voices, changing presets, and assigning variables. M is $75 and is a free upgrade to v2.5.7 or later.



Pluggo's support for Audio Units--in addition to existing VST and RTAS support--allows it to work with Emagic Logic Audio, MOTU Digital Performer 4, and Final Cut Pro and Soundtrack. Pluggo 3.1 is also compatible with multiple processors. It offers over 100 creative and unusual real-time audio effects and includes the Essential Instruments collection, a set of elegant and immediately effective synthesizers and samplers.



In addition, users can create their own custom plug-ins using Max/MSP, Cycling '74's award-winning companion authoring software. Pluggo effects include filtering, delay effects, distortion, granular synthesis, audio routing, sampling and synthesis, reverb, and sound localization. In addition, Pluggo offers modulation, synchronization, and audio and control routing capabilities between plug-ins. It is $200 with upgrades from v2.0 priced at $100. It is a free upgrade for v3.0 owners.
