Apple planning another retail store in SoCal

New retail store in SoCal


A MacNN reader notes that Apple is planning to open another store in Southern California: "Just noticed the familiar white Apple logo on the black background surrounding a new store set to emerge on the ground level of the mall known as 'The Shops at Mission Viejo." The does not yet list Apple Computer as a tenant. The Shops at Mission Viejo is located at the intersection of Interstate 5 (San Diego Freeway) and Crown Valley Parkway in Mission Viejo, CA.

    apple = starbucks

    i'm about 30 minutes from both south coast and the shops, and 10 minutes from fashion island... i also heard that they're planning an anchor store (ala tokyo, nyc, the grove, sf) for the irvine spectrum. sheesh apple stores are becoming as common as orange groves used to be around here.

    Where did you hear that the Irvine Spectrum was going to have a "flagship" type store? Is this source reliable?

    i don't fully recall, it was posted on one of the rumors sites a few months ago, and living in OC the two that caught my eye were the shops and the spectrum... in the post/article it mentioned that the spectrum store was going to be a flagship. this isn't the same article, but it does mention a spectrum location http://www.ifoapplestore.com/stores/chronology.html
