OWC reduces prices on external FireWire storage

OWC reduces FW prices


start at $200. The largest reduction came on the 160GB 7200RPM FireWire 800/USB 2.0 with an 8MB data buffer, which is now $260 ($30 reduction).

Other newly priced FireWire 800+400/USB 2.0+1.1 solutions include the 200GB 7200RPM unit reduced to $310 from $330, and the 250GB 7200RPM unit (now $380, $20 reduction).



Each Mercury Elite drive measures 1.5 inches x 9.0 inches x 5.5 inches and weighs less than 3 pounds. Mercury Elite drives ship with Intech HD SpeedTools, Dantz Retrospect Express backup and restore software, a FireWire cable and an external power adaptor, and come with a two-year OWC warranty. The drives are compatible with Mac OS 8.6/9/X.
