Sure, that's what we need, more distractions on the road for stupid-a** drivers..

Ok, lets keep regulation down, so then those of us stuck with wire-based phones will end up paying even more money in excessive fees and taxes to cover the losses from others switching to VOIP.

    Powell:

We should be starting on the cleanest slate possible," Powell said. "I don't think you should ask a Vonage ... to hire an 80-person lobbying staff and legal staff.

Oh, like if there's no regulation they won't have a lobying and legal staff. Please. They'd still have them to (a) make sure they get to ride their gravy train long enough to go public and bilk investors, and (b) try to lobby for tax and legal breaks.

And I'd like the FCC chair to explain how this market " is crucial to the economy's future."

    Just what we need...

...more fat a** road-ragers, who can now be distracted as well, while checking those scores on ESPN's web site.

    less distraction

isn't it better that a person could say "hey car, what is the score of the Michigan-Illinois game" and get an answer from the car "56-14, Michigan" rather than have them with one hand on the wheel and the other scrolling through the scores on their internet enabled cell phone. If the car can do voice activated, hands free internet surfing, then I find it no less distracting than talking to a friend in the passanger seat.

BTW, I'd be willing to bet that most of those road ragers are caused by idiots who are not paying attention.

    MS and cars ...

... a VERY bad combination. I never want to hear the word "crash" associated with my car. :)

    I don't know...

I'm still finding my RADIO doing a good job at delivering the info I need. I just push a button...OK, too old fashion. Do I really need to check my e-mail while in traffic? What about spam? And if you need to hear about your stocks, it would be far better to go to a casino for which indicates the stock you bought must be short-term junk and you do better sticking your cash into a machine! Vehicle diagnostics? h***, are they mad?!! Oil and water. Hot and cold. Air-pressure. An indicator for routine maintenance is all I need not some over sensitive bit of hardware that doesn't like the heat or cold.
