, a personal BarcodeReader built for Mac OS X. Designed as an integrated hardware software solution designed to automatically input and organize books, DVDs,CDs, tapes, and other media collections. "The new IntelliScanner Collector utilizes the barcode found on media items, along with Internet data sources, for fast retrieval of title information, details, and artwork. It bundles an IntelliScanner barcode reader, locking USB cable, and companion software kit.
IntelliScanner Collector features a streamlined, self-powered USB barcode scanner that works without additional drivers or configuration. The included software features the ability to organize, sort, search, and browse media collections in a single window UI and offers atuo fill functions using information found on the barcode, along with Internet datasources. The software also offer functions for check in/out, featuring tracking tools for lending out items, virtual bookmarks, personal ratings, physical location tracking, and HTML export functionality.
The solution requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later and an available USB port. The $200 package is available on special for $180 through January 9th.
