Apple sells 2M iPods, 30M songs via iTMS

2M iPods, 30M songs


today that over two million iPods have been sold since its introduction about two years ago. Apple also announced the immediate availability of a new 15GB model offering customers 50 percent more storage for $299--the same price as the previous 10GB model. Apple also said that it has sold over 30 million songs through the iTunes Music Store and says it is approaching a song sales rate of 1.9 million per week, bringing it close to its goal of 100 millions per year.

    iPod 15 Gb

    This stinks. I just got a 10 Gb forChristmas from my wife and kids and now I realize that its outdated by a factor of 50% less than 2 weeks later. I usually don't have a problem with updates and hardware changes, but this still stinks.
