OWC offers 80GB high-performance portable FW drive

80GB 5400rpm/8MB drive
portable storage drives. The new drive uses a fast 5,400 rpm mechanism and features a 8MB data buffer. It is available with either a FireWire-only interface for $350 or with both FireWire and USB 2.0 interfaces for $360. The FireWire interface features two ports (one powered 6-pin and one unpowered 4-pin), while the USB interface on the combination drive supports both USB v2.0 and v1.1. OWC also lowered prices on other models.
- 40GB 5400RPM w/16MB buffer: $250 (FireWire only) and $260 (FireWire+USB),
- 60GB 4200RPM: $250 (FireWire only) and $260 (FireWire+USB),
- 60GB 7200RPM: $340 (FireWire only) and $350 (FireWire+USB), and
- 80GB 4200RPM w/8MB buffer: $300 (FireWire only) and $310 (FireWire+USB).
The drives weigh 11 ounces and measure 3.5-inches x 5.5-inches x 1.0-inches.
Mercury On-The-Go drives are compatible with Mac OS 8.6/9/X. The drives feature a shock-protective design, a cool blue activity LED, and near-silent operation. They may be powered (via FireWire or USB) or with the included AC adapter; each includes cables, formatting software and a one-year warranty.

Since when is a 5,400 RPM drive "New"?, not to mention $300 for 80 GB? Is it me, or is everyone not in Kansas anymore?
