Forbes publishes Apple Q&A

Forbes has published the transcript from an online questions and answers session with Forbes technology correspondent Arik Hesseldahl on the " of Apple's Macintosh computer." Hesseldahl says, " I think Apple has long recognized that it's never going to beat Microsoft and the Wintel combination, but there are still people who want a high-quality computing alternative [...] It does a lot of the things that a Wintel box can do, it just does them with a certain flair that a certain kind of person appreciates and is willing to pay for and use to the exclusion of more conventional computing products."

ease of use and os x ??

They don't mention ease of use anywhere and they have ignored os x. Strange article.

    Viruses...

They also fail to mention the far fewer computer viruses out there that the Mac OX is vulnerable to.

    re: Viruses...

Who would target Mac OS for viruses anyway? It has nowhere near the amount of market penetration needed for any real effect. I could see the news article now:

"A new Mac OS virus did damage to about three computers today..."

    I agree - FOT - but

Apple could do better. How about a user-replaceable battery for $49?

    re: re: Viruses...

No program or virus can gain control over OS X, in the same manner it can gain control over Windows. Consider yourself educated.
