Apple updates Xcode, more
Apple has released Xcode 1.1, Final Cut Pro 4.1.1 and LiveType 1.1.1 via its Software Update utility. Xcode 1.1 is an update to the OS X developer suite that provides stability and performance improvements to Xcode IDE, Xcode's build system, and CodeSense. Final Cut Pro 4.1.1 and LiveType 1.1.1 address issues with the Simplified Chinese Input Method, and third-party LiveFonts, respectively. Apple recommends all three updates to all users of the applications.
LiveType 1.1.1 provides all previous updates to LiveType as well as the following additional fixes and/or improvements:
- Timeline enhancements: improved media descriptions, effect order setting, snapping, copying and pasting effects
- Matte to Texture feature available directly from the Media Browser
- Individual effect assignment for selected characters
- Ability to replace movies and images
- Proper behavior interpolation when applying two or more effects
- Improved memory usage
Final Cut Pro 4.1.1 specifically addresses issues that may be encountered with Final Cut Pro if you are using the Simplified Chinese Input Method, which is the way that users enter Simplified Chinese characters on a Macintosh computer.
