Canto ships Cumulus 6
Canto today began shipping Cumulus 6 in editions. Version 6 brings native Mac OS X clients, a new Mac OS X Single-User version as well as focuses on ease-of-use improvements and a new server-centric architecture for its Workgroup and Enterprise solutions. Other new features include asset management from a single window, allowing to create virtual asset repositories; users also can now easily switch between different views with preconfigured View Sets as well as customize the information display.
Cumulus 6 also offers Asset Handling Sets for optimized handling of different formats. In Workgroup and Enterprise these preconfigured sets can be edited and provided centrally by the administrator.
The release of Cumulus 6 also marks the introduction of the revolutionary EJaP (Embedded Java PlugIn) technology. Both customers and system integrators can customize the available out-of-the-box solutions to meet their specific needs. In a nutshell, the administration of tailor-made solutions is now a possibility. Integrating Cumulus 6 into any workflow, be it Enterprise Portal or Enterprise Content Management becomes a breeze.
Cumulus 6 only runs on Mac OS X. The single-user version is $70 (with upgrades priced at $50), while the Workgroup edition starts at $2,500 (with upgrades starting at $800). Additional Mac OS X clients are priced at $300 per client or $1,400 for 5-seat license.

It's fustrating..
You know, At my company we use Fotoware for our asset management and editing software. It's about as stable as most of my exgirlfriends. Does anyone use this and if so, can you tell me if it has an editing application as far as its workflow, or do you have to edit thigns like images with another app then use Canto's software to store and retrieve or export ot the web?
