JPEG2000 image collection

has released its first series of royalty-free images: Photo Objects contains thousands of high-quality photographs available in low and high resolution and are saved in standard JPEG and JPEG2000 file format. "This new extended JPEG format is specially interesting for graphic designers because it offers a better image quality and an alpha channel for a clean an easy editing of the images." The collection can be purchased on a per-image basis or via a $25 monthly or $100 yearly subscription. The company says that it will add new images each week (based in part of themes suggested by users) and is offering 5 free royalty free images to everyone who registers on its website.
