Apple offers iPod battery tips
Apple has posted a document on How to Get the Most Out of the iPod Battery, which explains how to get the most usage out of one charge of the iPod's, while another says the iPod Battery Status Indicator Is Approximate. Recently we noted Apple's iPod battery replacement service and new AppleCare extended warranty fo iPods.

Ok, but seriously, Apple tinkers with the battery indicator EVERY time it updates the iPod's software. You'd think they'd get it right sooner or later. Well, actually they did. It worked perfectly...until I installed the last update!
... it's pretty good - and likely one reason Apple's addressing the issue. I love my iPod and use it just about every day, but they're way too expensive to just toss if the battery dies. Apple needs to work on making the replacement battery a little less expensive, too.
