updated 01:30 pm EST, Fri November 21, 2003

DVDRemaster 1.2

is a utility for Mac OS X to recompress large DVDs so that they fit on standard DVD5. This version offers a smarter user interface, greater compatibility with DVDs, improved speed and quality. The $40 utility includes M2VRequantizer (requantizes the video leaving the motion vectors unchanged) and M2VDownsizer (recompresses the video stream completely, including motion vectors). Both of these modules are based on libmpeg2 and mpeg2enc and released under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
