Pleasanton high school students to recieve 950 iBooks

950 iBooks to HS students


About 950 students at the Atascosa County school south of San Antonio (Texas) will be for the next four years, as part of $2.2 million, four-year project: "Each laptop will have Internet access, office software, a calendar, an address book, video and photo editing software, a DVD player, a CD player and burner, chat capability and an application to listen to music. The district has installed wireless access points throughout the campus, including classroom buildings, the shop areas, gym, field house and press box at the football stadium."

    in other words

    In other words, the laptops come with OS X.

    At least not to those with some intelligence. A Texas school buying Macs is a good thing. It's right in Dells own state and their not buying Dells.

    else OS X does it all, apple is cool and all with products, but if it was not for OS X, i would be using windows, i love it so MUCH

    they gave us the oppurtunity to have the ibooks but would not even let us download things and ichat they knew we were gonna be on it so why give it to us and say there gonna take it off
