Firum 2.0 phase equalizer

Elemental Audio Systems today announced today , an update to its flagship linear phase equalizer. In addition to a redesigned user interface, version 2.0 brings Digidesign Pro Tools RTAS compatibility and offers an updated sophisticated spectrum matching engine that learns the spectral profile of an audio source and applies it to another--either manually or automatically. Firium also offers a new comprehensive State feature that allows user's to store up to 50 EQ "States" for instant recall or automation. It is a free upgrade to the $130 application.

Firium can intelligently fill empty states, smoothly transitioning, or "morphing," between complex EQs, and States can be added, deleted, and rearranged. A thumbnail States overview allows the user to visualize all EQ states, useful when configuring complex State changes. Firium's States can be used to coordinate EQs for application on a mix or for completely creative effect.

Firium also offers built-in spectrum analyzer, the ability to draw an EQ curve, EQ scaling and smoothing, and an extensive history. Firium can be used wherever a highly flexible EQ is desired - with no phase distortion or smearing like conventional EQs. Firum is also available in VST and Audio Unit formats for Mac OS X.
