    if u had to choose

i think bang for the buck the 2ghz g5 is better then the new 1.8 . Or am I wrong ? The bus speed is key I think.

20 inch on a IMAC ?? that makes me want somthing bigger then my 23inch display. cmon apple .. somthin that will match my G5.

    This is more like it

Previously, the mid-range model of the G5s was such a rip off (compared to the top-end), and the low-end was such a scam too (for like $50 more - once you customized the 1.6GHz to the 1.8 specs - you got the better mobo, more ram capacity, PCI-X, etc). Now they seem better broken up, like Apple's previous schemes with the G4s.

    Awesome

About time Apple realized they need to release new products year round, instead of just at "special events." I know they've done this a couple of times this year and in the past, but I can't remember the last time Apple released a major revision before/during the holidays. Its really hard trying to sell a computer that was fast in July, but by December is considered less so compared to the wintels out there. I know I for one have always waited till January for the past 6 years because I knew Apple would release something then. Semi-savvy consumers knew this as well and would kill Apple's holiday sales margin because of it.
