Digit offers free Canvas 7


Digit magazine is with its latest issue, which is on sale at news stands now. Digit 68 also includes Canvas 7 tutorials in the magazine. The magazine is available for order online or as part of a year-long subscription of 13 issues: "Canvas 7 is an award-winning creative suite, and offers professional tools found in the likes of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Fireworks, and QuarkXPress. The giveaway also includes hundreds of free fonts and samples to help get you started." Upgrades to Canvas 9 (the latest version) are $200.

    Who gives a s***. Just download Canvas 9 off the 'Net for free and be done with it.

    It's a funny promotion. Why not just give away Canvas 9? No one uses it anyway.

    Because your way is illegal.

    Canvas 7 is the last MacOS 9-only version. It's free because they want to give you a chance to try the software, but give you a good reason to upgrade to the latest version.

    I used Canvas years ago, it's a great program. I just don't have a need for it anymore.
