New iPod TV spot

Apple today began airing its on primetime television on NBC (in the US), according to MacNN readers: "I was just watching 'Friends' on NBC and I spotted the new Apple iPod ad. It looks just like the other two that Apple is running, with the colored backgrounds and black bodies. The only difference is the new music and that is says now for Windows." Update: The song in the spot is a remix of 'Rock Star' by N.E.R.D.

    What a campaign...

Covers three genres. Visually stimulating. And it's Apple's. Wonderful. I think there is going to be an iPod coming into my possession this Christmas. :-)

    The song

is called Rock Star, by N.E.R.D.
now the question is, which version of that song is played in the ad?

    The Song

The remix of the song is available on the "SSX3" soundtrack. Best Buy had a promo where the CD was like a buck when the game was purchased with it, so I picked it up. The past SSX games have had superb music. Anyway, there's a few jems on the CD and that Rockstar mix is one that gives me a serious case of leadfoot when driving when it's on. Great tune. Regular version (available on the itunes store) is much less interesting to me.

    I agree with Poster #7

It seems kinda unreal, but their sample choices of music are superb! (I think) I wonder who actually selects the music used? In any case I'd be more than happy to just buy those 3 songs even if I didn't get the iPod!

    Well...

...this marks the first song in a new iPod/ITMS commercial that cannot be found on the ITMS.
