Lightsoft today released Kairos 1.1.1, and update to its weather graphing and monitoring application for Mac OS X. Kairos records the weather conditions for any location you specify and graphs the data. Current weather conditions can be spoken and displayed in the Dock. Version 1.1.1 can now display the weather ("Snowing," "Sunny," etc.) in the Dock; new speech option is available so Kairos only speaks the weather if something has changed since the last weather sample. MacNN reader Terry Garbutt writes "Apple Canada has a new Education service. You can contact it at 1-800-800-2775. However that phone number is listed anywhere on the Canadian site. More to the point Apple Canada has chosen once again to lag not follow. There is no iLife/Keynote offering to the Canadian educator. The Apple Canada representative I spoke to on the 13th Feb. indicated Apple Canada was waiting to see the "reaction" the offer had in the US. They would be happy to list my "interest" and, no, I was the only one expressing this 'interest'. Another example of Apple Canada's second class treatment on Canada."
