HEURIS this week will introduce its new MPEG Power Professional—HD, its software solution for encoding "QuickTime files directly to ATSC HDTV resolution 19.2Mbps MPEG." It can also encode directly from AVI and OMF formats, offering HDTV encoding at 720p (and other popular formats) as well as transport multiplexing for HDTV applications. It is expected to ship early in Q4 of 2001.
James Rantanen writes about a workaround for address errors experienced by some when starting Classic: "The address error when starting Classic which appears when starting Classic can (as is already known) be fixed by removing Shared Library PPC, but through investigation I found that removing the font Zapf Dingbats also repairs the error. I f this doesn't work, try removing all of you Classic fonts and adding them back in a few at a time."
