FileMaker Pro 13.0.3 ($329) - FileMaker Pro is a database management tool that can help users manage a wide range of data. Version 13.0.3 includes OpenSSL 1.0.1g, which is not vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug. In addition, the TLS heartbeat in OpenSSL has also been disabled to help prevent future attacks. Lens Blur 1.3 ($10) - Lens Blur can be used to apply an out-of-focus blur effect to any image. The software has been designed to accurately simulate real lens in order to create realistic optical defocused effects. The latest release offers various new aperture shapes for creating bokeh art. Dropbox 2.6.31 (free) - Dropbox is a desktop utility that creates a special Finder folder that automatically syncs with an online web storage account. This can be used to backup files to the cloud, or to quickly synchronize files between multiple computers. The v2.6.31 release includes updated translations. [Download - 34.5MB]

AirRadar 2.3.4 ($20) - AirRadar can be used to scan for available wireless networks. The software provides graphs of network signal strength and will automatically join the best open network in range. Version 2.3.4 will now only update results every 30 seconds when scanning with API mode, regardless of how fast a scan request is made. Alarm Clock Pro 9.6 ($20) - Alarm Clock Pro is a time management application that displays reminders and performs automated tasks. The software can display inspirational quotes randomly throughout the day, send them as text messages to a cell phone, and send reminders or birthday cards to contacts. The latest release fixes a crash that could occur when the movie player control bar’s is not computable. A daylight savings time issue on the Time Zone calculator has also been addressed.
