Arq 4.1.1 ($40) - Arq is a backup utility that will make incremental backups to an online storage account. The software keeps hourly backups for the past 24 hours, daily backups for the past month, and weekly backups for everything older than a month. An issue where Arq could not read the encryption password form the keychain after upgrading has been fixed with this update. The software will also now return an error when trying to parse a hex string that isn’t actually hex. [Download - 15MB]

Boom 1.9 ($7) - Boom is a small tool for boosting the audio output of an entire system. The software includes a built-in equalizer with various presets, as well as the ability to create custom EQ settings. Version 1.9 resolves the volume key delay, as well as various sync issues in A/V. MacJournal 6.1.1 ($40) - MacJournal acts as a digital journal that allows users to create a multi-media journal and either publish the entries on a number of popular blogging systems (such as Wordpress, Blogger and LiveJournal among others) or securely store entries. The latest release fixes an issue with closing the Registration info sheet and improves the appearance of lists and tables when sending to a blog. Various other crashes and known issues have also been fixed. [Download - 25.6MB]

Vitamin-R 2.11 ($30) - Vitamin-R is a collection of productivity tools that can help users break up larger projects into smaller tasks. A "now and later" feature is also included, which allows users to jot down ideas to work on later. The new version requires OS X 10.8 and replaces the software’s custom notifications with OS X-native notifications. [Download - 17.2MB]

Pear Note 3.1.3 ($40) - PearNote is a note taking application for the Mac. All activities during a session are recorded including audio, video, user actions, keystrokes, and slide changes, which are then placed on a repayable timeline. Version 3.1.3 fixes a bug that could cause Pear Note to fail to open documents on the latest version of OS X. A bug related to autosave has also been fixed. [Download - 4.9MB]
