Default Folder X, Vitamin-R, Day One

Default Folder X 4.6.3 ($35) - Default Folder X provides users with quick access to folders and commands by attaching a toolbar to the right side of Open and Save dialogs in OS X. The v4.6.3 update changes the behavior of last-used-folder tracking so that Pro Tools, Pages, InDesign, Microsoft Word and other applications will default to the correct folder. A bug that could cause the "Open and Save to the same folder" option to work incorrectly has also been fixed. [Download - 11.7MB]

Vitamin-R 2.07 ($30) - Vitamin-R is a collection of productivity tools that can help users break up larger projects into smaller tasks. A "now and later" feature is also included, which allows users to jot down ideas to work on later. Version 2.07 moves to the new Automatic Reference Counting memory architecture. [Download - 17.2MB]

Day One 1.9.2 ($10) - Day One is a journaling tool that can be used to quickly record thoughts and memories. Everything stored within the app can be synced to an iCloud or Dropbox account, and shared with iOS devices. A crash specific to Lion and Mountain Lion that was introduced in the previous update has been fixed in v1.9.2. [Download - 13.1MB]

Cobook Contacts 3.0.1 (free) - Cobook is an alternative address book for the Mac that can connect with social networks and automatically update contact cards. The software is capable of recognizing different types of information, such as e-mails, phone numbers, and addresses, and automatically placing them in the proper portion of a contact card. A host of known bugs have been addressed in this update. [Download - 4.7MB]

iTrash 2.0.3 ($8) - iTrash is a tool for uninstalling applications on a Mac-based computer. The software automatically searches for all related files and allows users to select which files are deleted. Version 2.0.3 offers an improved search algorithm and Expert mode, along with a fix for an issue with calculation Alias files. Additionally, a memory leak that occurred when using Lost Files has also been patched. [Download - 8.9MB]
