HoudahSpot 3.7 ($30) - HoudahSpot allows users to create detailed queries to pinpoint the exact file they are searching for. Favorite queries can be saved for later access, and templates can be set up for frequently performed searches. Version 3.7 adds the ability to rename files from the search results list, and improves the speed of file operations. Other changes include autocompletion of kind and tag criteria, faster context menu operation, and various bug fixes. [Download - 3.2MB]

PopChar X 6.2 ($37) - PopChar X allows users to add special characters without the need to remember a keystroke combination. The new version supports Unicode 6.2, the latest release of the Unicode Standard, and adds a new font matching technique that reliably finds fonts for font family names. PopChar now also contains enhanced user interface elements, in particular for Retina displays. [Download - 3.3MB]

MOOS Project Viewer 2.9 ($25) - MOOS Project Viewer is a Microsoft Project viewer that is capable of opening any MS Project file type. Available views include WBS, Gantt chart, task sheet, resource sheet and resource usage. The latest release introduces full integration with Dropbox, allowing users to open Microsoft Project files from any computer. [Download - 12.5MB]

Soundboard 2.2.2 ($49) - Soundboard allows users to map sound effects, audio clips, or musical accompaniment to keys on the Mac keyboard. Version 2.2.2 includes full Retina display support, as well as the ability to copy sounds via drag and drop. Compatibility with OS X Mountain Lion has also been improved with this release. Dropbox 2.0.2 (free) - Dropbox is a desktop utility that creates a special Finder folder that automatically syncs with an online web storage account. This can be used to backup files to the cloud, or to quickly synchronize files between multiple computers. A bug that caused the tray popup to be improperly positioned after plugging in an external display has been fixed in this release, along with a bug that occasionally prevented the popup from appearing.
