Web Snapper, MacTubes, Default Folder X

Web Snapper 3.2.8 ($15) - Web Snapper allows users to capture screenshots of entire webpages. Web links can be added to the software through drag and drop functionality, or through a toolbar button in Safari. Pages can then be saved as an image, a vector-based file, or a multi-page PDF. An issue that caused the software to crash when sending snaps to the printer has been fixed with this release. Saving issues specific to the Mac App Store version have also been addressed. MacTubes 3.1.6 (free) - MacTubes allows users to search for and watch YouTube videos from an iTunes-like interface. Within the application playlists of favorite videos can be created with items that have been found through the integrated search functions. Version 3.1.6 addresses an issue that prevented videos from downloading correctly, and includes a new "3D" format for downloading. [Download - 1.3MB]

Default Folder X 4.5.4 ($35) - Default Folder X provides users with quick access to folders and commands by attaching a toolbar to the right side of Open and Save dialogs in OS X. The 4.5.4 update features several bug fixes, and improves the way menu items are renamed when there are two folders with the same name. Additionally, the Default Folder X Agent will now quit correctly when logging out. [Download - 11.4MB]

Dropbox 1.6.10 (free) - Dropbox is a desktop utility that creates a special Finder folder that automatically syncs with an online web storage account. This can be used to backup files to the cloud, or to quickly synchronize files between multiple computers. Various dependencies on OS X have been fixed with this release. [Download - 21.9MB]

Bookends 11.3.4 ($100) - Bookends is a tool that can help users organize reference information and create bibliographies. In v11.3.4 ISBN information can be automatically entered from any Amazon Source, and a new option for searching Web of Science for gran numbers and funding agencies has been added. The JSTOR parser has also been updated to deal with changes made by JSTOR. [Download - 31.7MB]
