Dropbox 1.4.2 (free) - Dropbox creates a special Finder folder that automatically syncs with an online storage account. The software requires users have a Dropbox account and can also be set to automatically sync files between multiple computers. Remote Buddy 1.21 ($26) - Remote Buddy is an application for remotely controlling a Mac via a mobile device. The software allows users to perform a variety of tasks, from controlling an iTunes library to changing system settings. The latest release improves behavior for Lightroom 4, MPlayerX, and Roxio Video Player, and has been signed with a Developer ID in preparation for OS X Mountain Lion. MacFamilyTree 6.2.11 ($60) - MacFamilyTree is a genealogy program that can help users discover and visualize their family history. The software also features a number of built in reports and charts, and allows users share genealogical data using the GEDCOM standard. In version 6.2.11 the importing and exporting of GEDCOM place coordinates has been improved, and the option to print Web Research has been added. Additionally, a number of bugs have been resolved. Playback 1.8.11 ($15) - Yazsoft has released a new version of its media server for Mac OS X, Playback. The software allows media files to be shared with any Playstation 3, Xbox 360, or other supported UPnP compatible device.
