OmniFocus, Bookends, Boom

OmniFocus 2.0 ($80) - OmniFocus is a task management utility that allows users to organize all of their tasks in a prioritized list. In the v2.0 release Perspectives are now located in tabs on the left edge of the window. Projects, Contexts, and Inbox perspectives are similar to their OmniFocus 1 views they descended from, but now have redesigned View Options. Inspectors have also been embedded into this window, helping users keep all important details together in one place. [Download - 41.6MB]

Bookends 12.2 ($60) - Bookends is a tool that can help users organize reference information and create bibliographies. Version 12.2 includes a new PDF viewer with search, markup and annotation features, as well as improved integration between PDF notes and the Bookends note stream. In addition, AppleScripts can now be used to set the contents of a field and various bugs have been fixed. [Download - 37.9MB]

Boom 1.9.1 ($7) - Boom is a small tool for boosting the audio output of an entire system. The software includes a built-in equalizer with various presets, as well as the ability to create custom EQ settings. A number of performance upgrades are featured in this release, along with a fix for an audio distortion issue. [Download - 10.5MB]

MovieSherlock 5.3.7 ($30) - MovieSherlock allows users to download and covert movies from a number of popular video sharing sites, including YouTube, Vimeo, and DailyMotion. The v5.3.7 update now officially includes the Video Capture feature that has been undergoing beta testing. A new dock notification for downloading videos has also been added and a bug with poor MP3 auto quality has been fixed. [Download - 6.1MB]

Mellel 3.3.3 ($39) - Mellel is a word processor that offers tools for writing and organizing long documents. In v3.3.3 recent fonts are now displayed in the Font menu, and an option to control the resolution of converted vector images when exporting has been added. In addition, structure levels without a name are no longer displayed in the Insert Auto-title menu or the Auto-title palette. [Download - 105.7MB]
