Rumor Roundup: the 'flop' becomes an overnight sensation

We've noted in this space previously that noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously declared that the forthcoming "iPhone 7," expected in September, will be a "flop" because it will be "unattractive" to buyers, since the current vision of the device is that it will look and function pretty much like the iPhone 6s -- a kind of second "s" release of the iPhone 6 design, mirroring Intel's recent announcement that its chip-development cycle was moving to a "tick-tock-tock" model, extending the life of a given processor.

The MacNN Podcast, episode 64: Charles in Charge

Charles is back on the podcast this week, so regrettably Jordan has been benched for a while. Managing Editor Mike remains the constant element, however, and Charles and Mike waste no time getting into the big topics of the week, including Apple CEO Tim Cook's trip to India, and what it means that he brought along at least two other key Apple executives. With over $200 billion in cash, most of which is held (hostage) overseas, we're likely to hear a lot more about foreign investments over the remainder of the year.
